The Evn Roll ER2 Mid-Blade putter review(2023)

The Evn Roll putter is a putter manufacturer independently launched by Mr. Guerin Rife, who is famous for RIFE putters in the United States, and is sold at some mass retailers in Japan.
It may be a manufacturer that is not well known outside the United States, but it seems to be a popular putter among amateurs, such as those used by tour professionals in the United States.
This time, I would like to review the 2023 model ER2 mid-blade using it on the course.

ER2 Mid-Blade

The ER2 mid-blade is a blade putter with a high moment of inertia with weight distributed to the toe heel.
It has a wider sole than a standard blade putter, making it more resistant to mishits, and its unique face makes it easier to hit a stable distance.
The ER2 mid-blade has a vent neck as standard, so it is easy to stroke straight and easy to hit straight by suppressing the opening and closing of the face.
I actually used it on the course, and I felt that it was easy to hit the ball with good rolling and easy to adjust the sense of distance.

On the day I tried it, the greens were winter and there was a lot of gravel and the speed was slow, but I think the advantage of the evn-roll putter was that I was able to create a sense of distance as I imagined.

Sweet Face Technology

The face of the even roll putter is equipped with a special V-shaped groove, which has the advantage of being able to hit straight without deviating from the line even if the hitting point is off.
According to designer Guerin Rife, in the case of a 7m stroke, if the hitting point deviates by 1 cm from the sweet spot, it will deviate from the line by an average of 20 cm and will be shortened by an average of 35 cm.
The head material is made of high-grade 303 stainless steel, and you can feel a soft feeling even in a firm feel.
The face of the evn-roll putter has a good bite of the ball, so I thought it had the advantage of catching the ball well and rolling it.

design

I think the ER2 mid-blade has the advantage of being easy to hold straight on the target of the pin-type putter.
Personally, I think it's good that the neck is easy to enter and the face angle are easy to hold, and yet there is a sense of stability close to the mallet type.
I used to use a mallet type with a vent neck, but I felt that it was difficult to address the target, so I decided to choose a blade type that is easy to match at right angles.
The ease of holding the putter varies from person to person, but it is recommended for users who prefer a pin-shaped putter and want to use a model with a high degree of tolerance.

Tour Tuck Grips

Grip Specs
Length: 278mm, Weight: 90g
The tour tuck grip is made of rubber material where the thumbs of both hands hit the front of the grip, making it easy to feel the delicate touch.
The semi-circular thick grip is easy to grip in the palm of your hand and does not slip, preventing unnecessary movement of the hand.
When I used it on the course, I felt that it had a heavy grip and that it was good to hit like a counterbalance.
That puts a lot of weight on my hand, so I thought it would take some getting used to operating the head as I imagined.
The ER2 mid-blade putter has a good balance of maneuverability and stability, and its sweet-face technology prevents mishits and allows you to hit a stable distance.
Please give it a try!
