Taylormade Spider Tour X Truss TM1・TM2 putters reviews

The 2024 Spider Tour series has been relaunched with a new truss neck.
In addition to the normal model, the Spider Tour X used by Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler and the Z with different shapes were included in the lineup.
This time, I would like to review the Spider Tour X series, truss TM1, TM2, and normal model Spider Tour trusses, which are also popular with tour professionals.

Among them, the Spider Tour X is the putter that inspired Scottie Scheffler to win the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Players Championship twice in a row.
Scheffler, who was struggling with his putter, recommended the Spider X used by Rory McIlroy, which led to his rapid progress.
The 2024 Spider Tour X has a truss heel neck, unlike the one Schaeffler uses.
The spider tour's highly stable and forgiving head is designed to be resistant to mishits by the truss heel and to increase straightness and prevent blurring of direction and distance.
When I actually hit it, I felt that it was easy to stroke lightly for the large head, and it was easy to hit straight and easy.
The head and truss heel of the Spider have a higher moment of inertia, and the head does not shake even if you mishit, so I thought it was forgiving to make it easy to hit straight on automatic.

The truss neck of the Spider Tour is more compact than the truss neck of the TP series, and I think it has a clean shape.
The truss neck of the TP series has about twice the area, so I had the impression that it was emphasized when I held it, but I personally felt that the neck of the Spider Tour was easier to hold.
When I actually hit it, I thought that the truss neck had a structure that does not shake and is easy to direction.
The Spider Tour Truss Heel is a model with a toe heel balance and moderate maneuverability.
The face of the Spider Tour is made of pure roll inserts, but I also felt a soft feeling from the vibration absorber in the firm feel.

The truss center neck model of the Spider Tour X is a face-balanced type, unlike the heel neck, so it is easy to hit straight with less opening and closing of the face.
When I actually hit it, I felt that the truss neck placed in the center made it easy to be aware of the face surface directly and easy to orient.
Personally, I'm not used to the center shaft, so it took me a while to get a feel for hitting it straight, but once I got used to it, I thought it was a model that was easy to hit straight.
The center shaft putter has a different feeling of hitting the ball with the core, so I think that it may not fit depending on the user.

Since its introduction in 2008, the Spider Tour has been a flagship model favored by many tour professionals.
The bright red spider tour is still used by Jason Day today.
The Spider Tour has a larger head than the X, so it is a more stable model, but the X has a more compact head

The Spider Tour has a larger head than the X, so it is a model with a more stable feeling, but the difference is that the X has a more compact head, so it has an image that is easy to hold and operate.
When I actually hit it, I have the impression that the Spider Tour is easier to hit straight automatically, but both are highly forgiving, so I think you can choose a model that suits the user's image.

The Spider Tour Truss Heel is a model with a toe heel balance and moderate maneuverability.
The crank neck is well caught, so it is a recommended model for users who often make mistakes to the right.
The Spider Tour series, which is also popular with women's professionals, should be given a try!
